About Rian Drogendijk

Rian Drogendijk is a professor of International Business at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Groningen. Her research interests include the internationalization strategies of companies, strategic renewal and corporate entrepreneurship in multinationals, and concepts and measurements of culture and distance in an international perspective.

She has been President of the European International Business Academy, and is currently active in the leadership of the Global Strategy Interest Group of the Strategic Management Society. As Director of Graduate Studies, she is responsible for the graduate education (research master and doctoral programme) in economics and business at the University of Groningen.

The graduate school has a long standing relationship with China, for example a double degree programme with the School of Management of University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Hong Kong Baptist University. Chinese alumni of the school work at prestigious universities in China and other countries.
